Generations Bank turns 150!!
It all started in 1870 when our founder Jacob Chamberlain started the Seneca Falls Savings Bank. Fast forward 150 years and a lot has changed, we have a new name, a new logo and we've integrated some of the most innovative technology in the industry - but we're still just as committed to serving hometowns like yours as we were 150 years ago.
Some of our 150th anniversary celebrations have been interrupted by the global-wide pandemic but keep an eye on this page to stay up to date on our special events and announcements regarding our 150th Anniversary!
Purchase with a Purpose
On Friday, August 21, 2020 from 11am-2pm we will be donating $1.50 for every purchase made at a participating Seneca Falls restaurant. The $1.50 donation is a tribute to our 150 years of service in our hometown of Seneca Falls. The new fundraising event will is called “Purpose with a Purpose” and will benefit four local food pantries.
This fundraiser will replace our annual Taste & Tunes event which we had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The hope is people will be able to enjoy a great local meal while supporting local food pantries and small businesses. We will be supporting the same four charities we do each year, which include The Seneca House of Concern, The Seneca Falls Backpack Program, Trevor's Gift of Waterloo and Community Action Programs Cayuga / Seneca.

Update: We raised $3,000 dollars from Purchase with a Purpose! Thank you to everyone that participated, we could not have done this event without your help! We also want to give a special thanks to those that made their own individual donations to the food pantries in our community.
150 Days of Community Service
