About the Role

Overall management responsibilities for the bank’s Consumer, Residential, Home Equity and Commercial lending servicing and processing functions. Ensures timely and quality servicing and processing workflows. Adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, bank policies, procedures and practices. Development and maintenance of departmental policies, practices and procedures, staff management and development. Liaison responsibilities with departmental vendors and bank staff relative to the bank’s loan servicing and processing areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the bank’s FHLB Collateral report and remittance file.
  • Manage and administer the monthly Fannie Mae remittance.
  • Manage and administer the USDA monthly/quarterly delinquency and all loan status remittances.
  • Administer Core system index rate changes that variable rate loans are adjusted accordingly and quality control checks are in place for all applicable workflows. Ensure customer adjustable rate notices are correct.
  • Prepare and verify Consumer, Residential and Home Equity life and disability insurance remittances to Transamerica.
  • Prepare and remit PMI on MGIC website.
  • Administer and manage the bank’s third party tax service and internal escrow management services..
  • Manages and administers functions relating to loans sold, purchased or sold and purchased participations.
  • Manages and reconciles assigned General Ledger accounts.
  • Reviews and ensures all pre-approval workflows are timely, complete and correct, meeting all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Ensures all pre-closing follow-up needs, conditions, closing arrangements, etc. are tracked, resolved and coordinated, allowing expeditious loan closings.
  • Ensures all post closing conditions are tracked, monitored, received and resolved. Ensure collateral and insurance are perfected and tickled properly for renewals, where needed. Ensures all collateral and insurance renewals, changes and releases are in place.
  • Oversee and/or administer, maintain and distribute applicable portfolio management reports. Such as outstanding document, collateral, escrow and insurance exception reporting. Ensure applicable actions being undertaken.
  • Develop and maintain necessary departmental policies, procedures and practices. Provide training and support to applicable parties for proper adherence. Facilitate staff awareness, understanding and adherence to all applicable regulatory and bank requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Function as the liaison for all third party departmental vendor providers to ensure services or products provided are current, functioning properly, compliant with regulatory and bank’s vendor management program and invoices are correct and paid. Make recommendation to Chief of Consumer and Residential Lending where needed.
  • Resolve and respond to all applicable Compliance, Internal Audit, Loan Review and Regulatory findings.
  • Oversee and administer proper credit and legal file record keeping, maintenance and retention.
  • Oversee and manage assigned staff, interim and performance reviews, identify training needs and facilitate obtainment of same and other related staff matters such as attendance, vacations and pay roll processing input.
  • Maintain self current in all areas of responsibility.


  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field or directly equivalent work experience.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of three years loan servicing and loan processing management experience with a financial institution.


  • Strong knowledge and management experience in loan servicing and loan processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written and oral communication skills. Possess the ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees, staff, management, vendors and customers/prospects.
  • Ability to be proactive and positive in a constantly changing and highly regulated environment.
  • Good knowledge and proficiency level with automated underwriting tools such as SageWorks and MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Detail-oriented and efficient, with strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.
